John Woloshen
Lead Guitar, Keyboards & Vocals (also substitutes on Bass when the band plays as a trio)
John Woloshen was born July 26, 1965 in Paterson, NJ. John's family moved to Camp Springs, MD and lived there till he was 8. This is significant because this is where his love for football and the Washington Redskins began. Although this has nothing to do with music, it is still an important milestone.
When John was 9, his family moved back to New Jersey, to a small town called Point Pleasant Beach.
John's dad played the guitar and had a little home studio set up in the basement. John showed some interest in the guitar and his dad taught him his first couple of chords at age 13. Armed with a cheap guitar and a couple of chords under his belt, he teamed up with a couple of his friends and started his first band Intruder (See picture 2 above).
In high school, Intruder's bass player was not sure if he wanted to continue playing music, so they began to look for another bass player just in case. A kid named Bobby DeLeo auditioned to play bass in the band, but was just learning and so they gave him the boot... Bobby went on to start Stone Temple Pilots with his brother Dean... who knew?
John was in a variety of bands throughout high school (Picture 3 above) and college, mostly playing cover tunes.
In 1989, after John had finished college, he moved to Lake Mary to join his family and start his career. Music had now become just a home time hobby.
In 1993, John met Jon Johnson though (his soon to be wife) Tina. Jon Johnson actually played at a few of John's company conference's and occasionally they would jam together. When John W. found out that Jon J. was starting another band, he was quick to invite himself over and the rest is history.
